Terms of Use
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. The licence: Apple's Standard EULA
Your use of the Prunely app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
The licensor is Paraschiv Artur (see the Legal notice). The supplement below explains how Prunely's plans, trial, renewal, cancellation, refunds and deletion work. If anything in the supplement conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in.
2. Free and Pro
Free, with no time limit: a full scan of your library, the space estimate, reviewing and swiping through everything, and up to 50 deletes per day. In Tools, these are free too: the estimates of every tool, Live Photos → still (within the daily limit), finding duplicate and incomplete contacts, contacts backups and restoring them, the widgets and the Control Center control, and opening, viewing and saving items from an existing private vault.
Prunely Pro removes the daily delete limit, and in Tools it lets you compress videos, merge or delete contacts and set up the private vault. You can get Pro in three ways (US prices; the App Store shows the price in your local currency before you buy):
| Plan | Price | How it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| Yearly | $19.99 per year | Includes a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid yearly subscription and $19.99 is charged. |
| Monthly | $3.99 per month | Charged every month. |
| Lifetime | $29.99, paid once | A one-time purchase. It never renews and is never charged again. |
The free trial is for new subscribers; Apple allows one introductory offer per Apple Account. If you allow notifications, Prunely reminds you 2 days before your trial ends, and the app always shows the trial end date.
Family Sharing is on for all three plans: if the family organizer buys Pro, up to five other family members can use it at no extra cost.
3. Auto-renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or, for the yearly plan with a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (year or month) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If a subscription price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple's rules require it, asks for your agreement before charging the new price.
4. Cancelling
Cancel at any time on your iPhone: **Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Prunely → Cancel Subscription**. You can also tap "Manage subscription" in Prunely's Settings.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Only cancelling in Subscriptions does.
After you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for (or until the end of the free trial), and you are not charged again.
5. Refunds
Purchases are made with Apple, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com or with "Request a refund" in Prunely's Help screen. Apple decides on refund requests; we can't issue refunds ourselves. If you live in the EU or the UK, Apple's Media Services Terms also describe your right to cancel a purchase within 14 days.
6. Restoring purchases
Pro is tied to your Apple Account. On a new or reset iPhone, open Prunely → Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
7. Deleting photos and videos
- Prunely only suggests what to delete. You confirm every deletion in an iOS dialog. Items on your keep list are never suggested, and by default neither are favorites or hidden items (you can change this in Settings → Scanning).
- Items you delete go to the Photos app's Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them for up to 30 days. You can recover them there during that time (Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted → Recover).
- Once items are removed from Recently Deleted (by you, or by iOS after 30 days), Prunely can't recover them. We never have a copy of your photos or videos.
- If you use iCloud Photos, deleting an item removes it from iCloud and from all your devices signed in to that iCloud account.
The same applies to the tools: when you compress videos or turn Live Photos into still photos, the originals are deleted only if you choose to and confirm in the iOS dialog, and they go to Recently Deleted.
Please keep a backup of photos that matter to you.
7a. Contacts and the private vault
- Before Prunely merges or deletes contacts, it saves an encrypted backup of them on your iPhone, which you can restore in Tools → Contacts → Backups. Prunely can't read or keep the notes on contact cards, so a note on a card that is removed is not in the backup.
- Items in the private vault are stored only inside Prunely on your iPhone. Deleting Prunely, or erasing the vault, deletes them, and we can't recover them. Your iPhone backup (iCloud, or an encrypted computer backup) includes them, still encrypted. Save anything you want to keep to Photos before deleting the app.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change this supplement, we update this page and the "Last updated" date. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
